November 2019

Plant Therapy opens new retail locations in Boise and Twin Falls, Idaho

Plant Therapy Introduces CO2 Hemp Extract or CBD

We opened our new 35,000 square foot operations facility complete with product development and order fulfillment, just to name a few.

June 2018

Plant Therapy’s second retail store opened in Meridian, Idaho! Boise area customers can now buy Plant Therapy essential oils straight from our store as well as online.

May 2018

Plant Therapy earned the cruelty-free Leaping Bunny Certification, a highly-prized certification that guarantees every product we source and create is cruelty-free.

April 2018

Plant Therapy became the first essential oil brand to become EPA Green Power Partner, by partnering with local companies to power our facilities with green energy.

We opened a new office location in Boise, ID, to house our growing marketing, IT and regulatory teams and support the launch of our new Meridian store

Plant Therapy became the first essential oil company to offer Certified Organic Fractionated Coconut Oil.

Late 2017

The brand new Diffuse-On-The-Move diffuser launched, enabling our customers to take their favorite Plant Therapy essential oils on the go.

September 2017

Plant Therapy launched the new Chakra line. Each blend was developed to enhance subtle aromatic practices.

We expanded our USDA Certified Organic product line and introduced 12 Certified Organic Essential Oil Blends which includes 6 Certified Organic KidSafe Blends.

Holiday Season 2016

The new KidSafe Lil' Stinkers line was launched with three special edition blends each with their coordinating plush.

Late 2016

We started an affiliate program to help expand our customer base.

Plant Therapy celebrated five amazing and exciting years in business! We can't thank our wonderful customers enough for helping us get here.

Fall 2016

We outgrew our new space and leased an additional 27,000 square feet of warehouse space.

June 2016

We hosted an Open House at our new facility in Twin Falls, ID and welcomed the community and our customers for three days of family fun, essential oil education, a charity dinner, as well as raising $23,000 for clean water by matching funds.

April 2016

We celebrated the incredible milestone of 100,000 Facebook followers by giving away a year of free essential oils to one lucky winner.

After outgrowing our first four commercial spaces, Plant Therapy moved into our new, state-of-the-art 40,000 square-foot facility.

We purchased property and began renovations and construction on our new 40,000 square-foot corporate headquarters in our hometown of Twin Falls.

Early 2015

Every bottle of Plant Therapy essential oil is printed with a batch code, adding yet another layer of transparency to our quality control procedures.

Late 2014

We implemented batch-specific GC/MS testing on all of our oils. It is an important step in ensuring every bottle of Plant Therapy essential oil meet our high standards and our customers' expectations.

Fall 2014

We needed more space (again!), and expanded into additional warehouse space totaling 24,000 square feet.

2014

Plant Therapy had a mission to give back. In 2014, company leaders Chris Jones and Paul Stanger visited Liberia to do work with the nonprofit Africa Heartwood Project and provide clean drinking water to local villages.

Summer 2014

We officially launched our KidSafe product line, the first-ever line of essential oils specifically formulated for children.

Early 2014

We welcomed our first on-staff Certified Aromatherapists.

January 2014

The Safe Essential Oil Recipes Facebook group was founded.

Fall 2013

Working with safety expert Robert Tisserand, we began development on our KidSafe line of essential oils that are designed to be safe for children ages 2-10.

Robert Tisserand came on board as our quality and safety expert.

Growing fast, we moved from our original 1,200 square-foot space to a 6,000 square-foot, three-story building.

We launched our blog and our Facebook page. This was the start of our now thriving online community.

2011

Plant Therapy was founded with a mission to provide quality, affordable essential oils. Jones launched Plant Therapy as an online company selling the finest, 100% pure essential oils directly to customers.

2010

While sourcing essential oils for products, Jones saw a need in the market for high-quality essential oils at affordable prices.

2009

Plant Therapy President Chris Jones bought a small natural beauty products company from his mother-in-law, an aromatherapist.
